How to Convert FLV Files to an AVI Format
- 1). Go to a website that is playing a FLV video. Click on the "Play" button on the web page to start the video playing. Click the "Stop" button.
- 2). Copy the web address of the FLV video by clicking inside of the address bar at the top of the web browser. Press "Ctrl+C" (PC) or "Command+C" (Mac) to copy the FLV video's web address to the computer's temporary storage area.
- 3). Go to a video conversion website such as Media-Convert, Media Converter or Youconvertit.
- 4). Click in the "Paste URL," "Enter URL" or "URL" text field. Press "Ctrl+V" (PC) or "Command+V" (Mac) to copy the FLV video's web address to the text field.
- 5). Click on the "Continue" button if one is present and select "AVI" from the "Format" or "File" drop-down; otherwise select "AVI" from the drop-down menu below the "Convert to" tab.
- 6). Click the "Start" or "Go" button on the web page to start the conversion; otherwise enter your email address into the "Email Address" text field and press the "Convert It" button.
- 7). Press the "Continue" button if one is present and is no longer dimmed to go to a new web page. Click the "Save" or "Save To" button and navigate to the desktop in the window that appears and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window.
- 8). Open your email program if there is no "Continue" button and click on the email received from the video conversion website and double-click on the URL in the body of the email message. Click the "Save" button on the web page that has appeared on the web browser. Navigate to the desktop in the window that appears and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window.
