How to Read an ISO File
- 1). Go to the UltraISO website (see Resources) and download the free trial of the software. Install and run UltraISO and click the yellow folder icon with a green arrow in the top left of the screen to locate your ISO file. The application can extract individual files within the ISO as well as allowing you to directly edit the file. The full version of UltaISO is available for a fee from the website.
- 2). Visit the PowerISO website (see Resources) and click "Download" for a trial version of the software. Install and run the program and click the "Open" button from the top of the window. Locate your ISO file and click "Open" from the dialogue box. PowerISO can read ISO images and allow you to extract or edit information stored within the file. The full version of the software is available for a fee from the PowerISO site.
- 3). Go to the Alcohol 120% website (see Resources) and download the trial version of the software. Install and run the software. Alcohol 120% can open existing ISO files on your system or create new ones from CDs in your drive. The application is compatible with all recent versions of Windows. The full version is available from the Alcohol 120% for a fee.
