Navigate in a Web browser to plexapp.com. Scroll to the bottom of the page, hover the mouse pointer over the Windows logo and click the "Download" button.

Click the "Download" link on the next page and save the file "Plex-Media-Server-v0.9.207-en-US.exe" to the desktop. Note that the version number was current at the time of publication and is subject to change.

Double-click the file "Plex-Media-Server-v0.9.207-en-US.exe" on the desktop when the download is complete. A window titled "Plex Media Server Setup" will appear.

Click "Next."

Examine the Plex Media Server license agreement. Click the "I accept the terms in the license agreement" check box and then click "Next."

Click the "Change" button to select a folder on your computer in which to install Plex Media Server, or click "Next" to use the default folder of "C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server."

Click the "Install" button. The installation utility will install Plex Media Server on your computer using the settings that you indicated.

Click the "Finish" button when the installation process is complete. Launch Plex Media Server by clicking the "Plex Media Server" icon under the Start menu folder of the same name.
