A Proposed 28th Amendment - Some Folks Are Serious About It!
It looks like the Tea Party may get into Congress and push their own agenda, because apparently they are quite upset, and quite frankly I don't blame them.
You see, they are already proposing an additional amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
They seem to believe that Congress is not above the law, and that our lawmakers should be held to the same laws that we are.
What do you think brought this to fruition? It is my belief that it is ethics trial such as those going on with Senator Rangel that have brought this to the forefront.
Now then, from what I understand they are proposing a 28th amendment to the United States Constitution and apparently it would go something like this; "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.
" Indeed, in my opinion this wouldn't be such a bad amendment, it is in fact a very good idea for a number of reasons, and whereas, it may not be considered to be completely wise or prudent, but because our Congress has attempted to live above the law, they have abused their privileges.
And therefore, perhaps it is time to modify the Constitution in this way.
And while we are at it, there is another constitutional amendment that I would like to add, and it goes something like this; "Congress shall make no laws without first removing 10 laws which are currently on the books simultaneously.
" This would include each and every new line which results in new rule, or law of any bill which is signed into law by the president.
The actual bill or law would happen to have an addendum attached to it with a list of all the laws which would be repealed and removed.
This my friends, is the only way to reverse the insanity and bureaucracy of an overbearing Federal Government, which has overstepped its bounds onto the freedoms and liberties of the people of the United States of America.
Indeed, I am sorry but this cannot go on anymore the way it has - we are destroying the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind, and it's time for Congress to act now, with the Tea Party at the helm to stop this reckless abuse against the citizenry.
So please make a note of it Tea Party, it's your time to shine, and we need this law to get done.
