How to Put Google Maps on iTouches
- 1). Take a screenshot of your map as it appears in your browser. In Mac OS X, use the keyboard combination of "Command," "Shift" and "4." In Windows 7 or Vista, click the "Start" button, then "All Programs" followed by "Accessories." Click to open Snipping Tool. In the Snipping Tool window, click to open the drop-down menu next to the "New" button and choose a rectangular snip.
In either operating system, click and drag the resulting cursor to define the area to turn into an image. The Mac automatically saves a PNG image to the desktop. Snipping Tool creates a window with your selected image; click the floppy-disk icon to save it as a PNG or JPEG. - 2). Plug the iPod Touch into iTunes. If iTunes does not open, launch it manually.
- 3). Click on the iPod Touch in the left column of iTunes.
- 4). Click on the "Photos" button in the main panel of iTunes. The photos panel indicates the location from which the iPod Touch uploads and syncs photos.
- 5). Move your map file to the location indicated in the photos panel.
- 6). Click the "Sync" button at the bottom-right corner of iTunes. The iPod Touch syncs and uploads the image. Look at the image in the photos app on the device.
