Accessing Disk Mode Directly on Click-Wheel IPods

• 1). Slide the iPod's hold switch to the "On" position, and then slide it back to "Off."
  
  
• 2). Hold down the "Menu" and center click button until Apple's logo displays. Let go of both buttons when the logo appears.
  
  
• 3). Hold the "Play" and center click buttons until "Disk Mode" appears on the top of the screen. Release the buttons.
  
  

Accessing Disk Mode Through ITunes

• 1). Connect the iPod to your computer, and run iTunes.
  
  
• 2). Click your iPod under "Devices" on the left side of the iTunes interface.
  
  
• 3). Click "Summary" near the top of the main iTunes window.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Enable Disk Use" box.
  
  
• 5). Click "Apply" to apply the changes to the iPod.
