    • 1). Remove screws to detach the gauge cluster. The screws may be found in different locations, depending on the make and model of the car. Typically, there are two screws under the top bracket that secures the cluster to the dashboard; remove the screws and pull the bracket out.

    • 2). Locate and remove all screws after removing the top bracket. There are usually three to five screws attaching the cluster to the dashboard, located along the edges. Do not snap any wires as you work.

    • 3). Pull out the gauge cluster and unplug connections from the back. Undo clips around the plastic shield to detach it from the cluster. Do not damage the little knob that adjusts the brightness of the gauge cluster, or the tripometer knob. Pull the knobs out carefully after removing the lens. The gauge cluster is now ready to be replaced with Indiglo lighting.

    • 4). Remove the cluster cover from the gauges. In most cars the cluster cover is black with white printed numbers along the edge of the gauge. Hold up the gauge cluster and feel with your fingers for any clips attaching the cluster cover. Undo the clips and pull out the cover.

    • 5). Install the indiglo cluster covers. With the preinstalled cluster cover off, gently lower the Indiglo covers and align them so the dials read "0" for all gauges. If the gauges are not properly aligned at installation, you will get a false reading for speed, RPM, fuel level or engine temperature. The Indiglo gauges have wires connected to them and you will have to work your way around them. Be careful not to disconnect the wires because the gauges will not light up.

    • 6). Secure the Indiglo cluster clover with electric tape. Hold the covers steady and apply tape from the back; do not put tape over the face of the gauges. This will prevent the covers from slipping or getting maladjusted after installation.

    • 7). Replace the plastic shield and reassemble the gauge cluster into the dashboard. All wires should be plugged back into the cluster. The wires from the Indiglo cluster cover should be properly connected otherwise it will not light up.
