  Pensacola is the westernmost city on the Florida Panhandle. It is the oldest non-continuous settlement in the United States and is rich with culture and activities. Year around there are a number of annual festivals, events, historic tours and landmarks to be visited that have free admission. Plus, you can always kick back and enjoy free views of the Gulf Coast sunset.
  
  

Museums

• Visit a selection of historical, educational and cultural museums. The National Naval Aviation Museum is one of the world's largest aviation museums and is located aboard the Naval Air Station Pensacola. Here you can view more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft and more than 4,000 artifacts representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation. Admission to the museum is free. There are hands-on exhibits and free tours.
  
  If art is more to your liking, view the traveling exhibits of iconic artists such as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali at the Pensacola Museum of Art. Enjoy free admission on Tuesdays. View permanent collections that focus on 20th-century, modern and contemporary art including painting and sculpture.
  
  

Art Galleries

• Located in downtown Pensacola, the Quayside Art Gallery features works from more than 200 local artists and is the largest co-op gallery in the Southeast.
  
  Also downtown, Gallery night is offered several times a year with free admission and live music at neighboring art galleries. Enjoy an evening of arts and culture touring galleries that are open until late for this particular event that provides cocktails to guests. The event is sponsored by the Arts Council of Northwest Florida with courtesy trolley stops along the way.
  
  

Concerts

• Evenings in Olde Seville Square is an outdoor annual concert series that takes place in downtown Pensacola's Seville Square every Thursday evening. The concerts began 1987 and are held in the summer and at Christmas. An average of 10,000 music fans attend the concerts weekly, viewing every type of music from jazz to rock. Admission is free and bringing a personal blanket or chairs is suggested.
  
  If you can't make it on Thursdays, on Tuesdays from May through September at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach, enjoy free admission to Bands on the Beach. The series features a variety of bands that cover rock, blues, country and dance .
