I stumbled upon the internet, maybe stumbled isn't the right word to use, I started to use the internet when I was on long term sickness from work, after recovering from two operations in April 2008 and for sometime dreamed about owning my own business and making money work for me, instead of the other way around.
I had the dream but didn't know where exactly to start.
So I started to search the internet and became fascinated by seemingly genuine business opportunities advertised, for someone like me, who had the dream of becoming an entrepreneur but had no money to invest.
Schemes that promised to help show you the secrets of how you can start your own business with nothing to pay caught my eye.
First of all you would be given the convincing tale of how the product they were presenting was nothing more than a goldmine that only they had the answers to.
But in reality what you hoped would be free seemed to turn out to be an opportunity of squeezing craftily money out of you once you accepted to join as a member.
Of course some of the articles I was convinced were genuine turned out to be nothing more than a con.
Because of my desire to look for alternative means of employment, I plodded along giving away the little savings that I had on the hope that one of those get rich schemes would prove to be genuine.
So here I was searching for that potential needle in the hay stack.
I noticed that the promises made were not kept you were only directed to you reading lengthy tedious ebooks that didn't particularly tell you anything just before receiving another useless tidbit.
I guess, that's the whole aim of it all to draw you in with the dream that one day you would be able to make it as they have done, but I don't want to make money that way.
I want dignity I am not afraid of hard work or even putting in the time, but is there anyone out there who really knows how to make money as an Affiliate Marketer or are they just a myth.
I don't want to hear or even see a fake picture of an actor sitting near the pool of a mansion, sipping on some koolaid and pretending its champagne telling me that he's made millions by giving me a secret.
Give me the real facts about internet marketing.
Let me have the chance to reach my dream.
I finally figured out that Affiliate Marketing (promoting goods and services online) is more to my liking.
I haven't made any money yet, but I am not going to stop until I actually make it work for me.
I even have a website that I'm quite pleased with.
Its not easy but I have set some time aside every evening and first thing in the morning before going to work I go into my site to improve it.
I have decided to pursue affiliate marketing.
I have a strong desire to succeed, however hard or how long it takes I am going to reach my goal.
With the many twist and turns that came with my coming to this conclusion I should be grateful if there is anyone out there who can relate to what I have been through and could genuinely give me some pointers on how to make it as a super affiliate I would be grateful.
With a great deal of thought, hours spent, money wasted and even at times tears I can honestly say that any form of marketing takes skill, training, experience and dedication and in answer to the question "Who said internet marketing is easy?" NO!! its never easy when you are attempting to make changes in your existing livelihood.
But in the words of the song by Boys 2 Men "I Will Get There Somehow!".
