A revolving restaurant is one with a revolving floor, usually located on the top of a hotel or skyscraper. In New York, there is only one such restaurant. This is The View, located on the 47th and 48th floors of the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. From the restaurant, you can see all of New York's major landmarks and the Hudson River. - To dine at The View, you take View Express elevators from the hotel's third floor. The restaurant is on the 47th floor. The View Lounge is on the 48th. After 8 p.m., the lounge has an $8 cover charge for non-hotel guests. The restaurant does not allow children after 9 p.m. The View accepts all major credit cards, and describes its dress code as "smart casual." The restaurant revolves a full 360 degrees once every hour.
- The View has three special prix-fixe menus offering full meals at a set price. The $74 dinner menu consists of an appetizer, entree and desert. The two-course pre-theater menu, served only until 6:30 p.m., gives a choice of appetizer and entree for $64. The View Lounge serves a dinner buffet for $32.95 or $17.95 if you only eat from the cheese and desert buffet.
- Restaurant hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 5:30 to 10 p.m., and 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The View serves Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday dinner service is from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
