• The door drops down and is sturdy enough to act as a resting place for a laundry basket or use it as a utility table. The easy access lint filter is located on the top of the dryer. These dryers are considered large capacity at 7.0 cubic feet and handle more clothes at once. Equipped with an auto moisture-sensing system, the dryer automatically shuts down when the clothes are dry. Another feature that protects clothing is the wrinkle guard cycle that aids in preventing clothes wrinkling. These models are also equipped with a drum light.
  
  

Specifications

• Cycles include an air-only with a maximum of 30 minutes, the normal dry cycle with auto moisture sensing and a 40 minute wrinkle-guard cycle. The dryers measure approximately 29 inches wide with a depth of 27 3/4 inches. Height to the top of the control panel measures slightly less than 43 1/2 inches. The electric unit weighs about 113 pounds as opposed to the gas model at approximately 116 pounds. The interior of the dryer drum measures greater than 7.0 cubic feet.
  
  

Hook-ups

• The electric dryer requires a three-wire electric dryer cord at 30 amps. Also available are mobile home dryer hook-up kits with a six-foot four wire or three-wire, 30-amp electric dryer cord, whichever is appropriate. Most electric dryer cords are available in six-feet lengths. The gas model 70 series dryer is available in a special Los Angeles market dryer hook-up kit from the Sears Company. The standard gas connector is 60 inch.
  
  

Protection Plans

• A manufacturer's warranty comes standard with these dryers. As of 2011 Sears offers a Master Protection Agreement in addition to the standard warranty. This is available in either a 3-year or 5-year plan and includes no charge for labor and parts on all covered repairs. It also includes telephone troubleshooting service.
