Most ING New York City Marathon runners will still be going strong when they get to Sunset Park, and hit miles four, five and six — unless the weather is dreadful. At this stage of the course, the runners are not quite as thickly packed as at the finish, because they're divided into three color coded courses.

Tips for ING New York City Marathon Spectators

• Where it is in the Marathon Course: Miles 4 to 6
• Directions: You can easily reach Sunset Park by the N and R subways. The N is a local train. The R runs express. However, always check the subway schedules to make sure that weekend repairs don't delay your anticipated arrival time!
