How to Cut a Cardboard Loom
- 1). Cut a piece of cardboard using scissors to measure 4 inches wide, 6 inches long.
- 2). Cut 16 notches along both short ends of the cardboard form using scissors. Space each notch out by 1/4 inch.
- 3). Wrap yarn vertically around the cardboard form, securing the yarn through each notch as you wrap. This creates 16 lines of yarn across the surface of the cardboard loom.
- 4). Thread yarn onto a yarn needle, then weave the yarn back and forth through the wrapped yarn strands on the cardboard loom.
- 5). Push the woven yarn down to the end of the loom using the prongs of a fork once you complete one circuit of weaving. This tightens the weaving.
- 6). Weave the yarn needle through the wrapped yarn on the loom, tightening the yarn after each circuit with the fork prongs.
- 7). Cut off the excess yarn once the weaving is as long as you prefer.
