  Mount Pleasant is a a small town in far northeast Texas. The area is surrounded by lakes and is known for its swimming, boating and fishing. The town has its own Town Lake recreational park, with two boat ramps, grills and picnic tables. Mount Pleasant also is near Lake Bob Sandlin State Park, a 641-acre park with cabins, screened shelters and primitive camping sites. Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards and Red Road Vineyard and Winery are nearby. Several RV parks are in or near Mount Pleasant.
  
  

Rocky Road RV Park

• Rocky Road RV Park is next to a fishing and skiing lake and has 66 large pull-through RV sites that can handle big rigs, with 30-, 50- and 110-amp electric available, according to its website. Each site comes with satellite TV, water and sewer hookups and wireless Internet access. Facilities include restroom and laundry. Mail delivery is available. Amenities include a covered patio area, picnic tables and grills. Grocery shopping and restaurants are available within 10 miles. Pets are welcome.

Mount Pleasant KOA

• Mount Pleasant KOA is open year-round and offers RV sites, tent sites and cabin rentals. RV sites have a maximum length of 80 feet and come with free cable TV, 50-amp electricity and LP gas hookups. Modem data ports also are available. Park amenities include a recreation room with a pool table; playground; laundry facilities; a swimming pool; fishing, horseshoes and high-speed Internet. According to its website, the campground is close to craft and antique shops, a new public park, a putting range and the Mount Pleasant Golf Club.

Ramblin Fever RV Park

• Ramblin Fever RV Park has 30 paved pull-through RV sites and 18 non-paved sites, according to its website. The park can accommodate big rigs. Sites are 65 feet long and are either pull-through or back-in. All sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookup and free wireless Internet. Thirty sites offer cable TV. Ramblin Fever offers daily, weekly and monthly rates. Pets are welcome. The campground is close to shopping, restaurants and two golf courses.
