Sony Ericsson G700 and G900
The Sony Ericsson G700 & G900 are two brand new mobile phones with a difference. And what is that difference you may ask! Well, not only are they a brand new G model brand for Sony Ericsson but they're also both touchscreen phones.
Now you may think at first - "well so what, touchscreen phones have been around for years" & you'd be right upto a point. Well, maybe they have BUT & here's the but, the G700 & G900 are aimed at bringing touchscreen technology to the masses whereas in the past they were reserved for the most expensive phones or just smartphones.
Not only that though! They may both like ordinary phones from the outside that have touchscreen technology BUT they are also both run Symbian operating systems...so, what you're getting are 2 full on smartphones for Average Joe's pocket money and not having to pay mega bucks to own one - Whoo hoo!
What exactly can you do with the touchscreen on the G700 and G900? Well, Sony Ericsson say that you can select menu items, scribble notes, and surf the web. The G700 and G900 also have handwriting recognition. In other words, these are two fully features smartphones, like the Sony Ericsson P1i.. just in a more everyday package.
Both mobile phones share similar dimensions & features although obviously there are some major differences. The Sony Ericsson G900 is a 3G enabled phone with WiFi, 5 megapixel auto focus camera with photo light, 2.4" super clear display and has microSD expandable memory - although it does have 160Mb to start off with anyway.
The Sony Ericsson G700 on the other hand although very similar drops a couple of those more expensive treats and has a 3.2 megapixel fixed focus camera and no WiFi.
