Goa holidays take you off the touristy beaten track and into a fantastic, urban retreat where you can spend a mixture of lazy days and fast action.
Breathe in the energy and soak up the amazing ambiance which overwhelms this hidden gem.
Its charms and character can entice the most avid traveller and will see you returning year after year.
Exploring the busy streets is an experience in itself and will open your eyes...
wide! The roads are very hectic and don't seem to follow the highway code, in fact, I've been told that you have always got right of way to pull out into a main road.
Other than taxis, the most popular vehicle on the roads of Goa is the scooter, in my opinion probably the best (for nipping in and out and dodging taxis) but definitely the most dangerous.
Rickety cars and scooters carrying 6 people will become a thing of the norm by the end of your holiday.
Spectacular wildlife fills the trees and natural surrounds, bright coloured birds can be spotted around the rivers, monkeys can be seen draping around the trees and local cows love wandering the beaches, usually on the lookout for some lunch.
Don't be alarmed if you find a frog or lizard creeping into your room, the cheeky things love hiding in the shade.
Long golden sandy beaches sweep the coastline with an abundance of sunbeds and beach shacks scattered throughout.
The blue glittering waters and giant crushing waves will cool you down quickly and bring you hours of fun.
Discover the hidden cove of little Vagator or the beach not usually advertised, morjim beach, where you can book yourself into a luxury beach tent for the night and have yourself a romantic evening in this beautiful, private resort.
Sweet aromas fill the air as you walk down the dusty terracotta streets and through the bustling markets.
The Saturday night market in Arpora is a trendy, wonderful haven, filled with live music, stalls and hippies.
The all day market in Anjuna is where you'll find some real bargains, get lost in the coloured cloths, beautiful hand crafted jewellery and wood carvings.
Leave early on a morning as come lunch time, the market is heaving and the sun is directly above you pounding down like a heavy weight.
Sun worshippers will love the fantastic weather in Goa, but soaring temperatures bring sticky evenings.
The heat on an evening can be quite overwhelming, however bar staff and waiters will try and accommodate you as much as possible by placing a fan in front of you which should eventually do the trick.
When arriving at your hotel i would recommend requesting air conditioning for your room, it is not uncommon to be charged but it's a very low price for such a vital thing! You'll be spoilt for choice with so many superb restaurants to choose from.
Fresh food is served filled with sensational spices to tantalise your taste buds.
There is something for everyone here with such a wide variety of food to choose from.
I can recommend the garlic naan bread, so light and fresh, a great accompaniment to every dish.
While on your holiday in Goa, don't forget to visit dudhsagar falls, this amazing trip takes you through a monkey filled forest into the secluded falls.
A natural spring where you can swim in the cold fresh waters, dive from the cliffs, or simply sit amongst the rocks and watch the peaceful waterfall gush with all its might.
Goa holidays bring with them so much to see and do, with such an energetic vibe and warm atmosphere, it's hard not to fall in love with this beautiful resort.
