    Unit Will Not Power On

    • 1). Unplug the machine and plug it into another outlet.

    • 2). Press and hold the "POWER" button until the unit turns on.

    • 3). Request a service call through Samsung technical support if these steps do not restore power to the unit.

    Eject Button is Not Working

    • 1). Unplug the unit from the power source for at least 60 seconds.

    • 2). Plug the unit in but do not turn it on.

    • 3). Press and hold down the "EJECT" button until the tape is ejected.

    Remote Buttons are Non-Responsive

    • 1). Press and hold the "INFO" button on the remote for at least 5 seconds.

    • 2). Ensure the word "SAFE" is not present on the players digital screen before moving to the next step.

    • 3). Test the functionality of the remote and resume normal operation.

    Cleaning the Player

    • 1). Dust the outside of the player with a dry cloth to remove any surface debris.

    • 2). Remove any dust from the VHS deck and the DVD loading tray using compressed air.

    • 3). Clear any debris from the laser lens using a DVD laser lens-cleaning disc.

    Update the Players Software

    • 1). Download the latest software update from the Samsung download site.

    • 2). Extract the files and then burn them onto a CD-R disc.

    • 3). Turn on the player and insert the disc into the DVD loading tray.

    • 4). Confirm your desire to update your player and then wait for the status message that the update was successful.

    • 5). Power down the player after the upgrade is complete before you attempt to use it.
