How to Elevate the Head of a Bed to Ease Acid Reflux
- 1). Find something solid, such as bricks or wood planks, to help hold up the bed. You want to insure you use something solid and substantial and avoid anything that the bed's legs can fall through.
- 2). Take any wheels off your bed. Since you typically want to keep your bed in one place anyway, remove any wheels on your bed. Since the bed will be strategically propped up, any accidental movement can cause a disastrous fall.
- 3). Have a friend help you lift up the head of the bed six or seven inches. One of you should hold the bed while the other places the blocks underneath. If you are using bricks, stack three or four on either corner and one more stack in the center will do the trick. You want to make sure there is support in the center as well as the corners to avoid drooping or slipping.
