How to Adjust the Bindings on Elan Mag 70 Skis

    • 1). Calculate the adjustment number you need with a DIN chart. This chart asks for your body height and weight and your skiing level. Find your height and weight and find the number aligned horizontally with your personal information. This is your DIN number. An example of a DIN chart is provided in the Resources section but you will need to use the DIN chart provided with your Elan Mag 70 bindings.

    • 2). Turn the screws at the toes and heel of your bindings with a flat head screwdriver to make adjustments according to your DIN number. Align the number on the visual indicator of each screw with your DIN number. Turn the screw clockwise for a higher number and counterclockwise for a lower number.

    • 3). Place your feet in a ski boot in the bindings and test the functionality of the release settings you have created on your skis. A proper release setting will let you release your boot from the ski by turning your foot to the right or left. If this is not the case, repeat the adjustment process.
