Want Your Computer to Run Faster - Clean Up Your Registry Now
After a while our laptops, notebooks, and computers start running slower - they just cannot handle opening multiple files at the same time, and they take way too long to start up.
We then go and defrag our computers which can take hours sometimes, still, when we are done we only get a slight boost in the processing speed.
Why it is enough to drive us nuts, I am sure you can relate, and I think just about anyone who uses their computer in a serious way knows exactly what I am talking about.
So, what else can we do to speed up our computers? Well, we can delete the Internet Cache files, getting rid of all that silly adware which is bombarding us all the time.
Yes, we can do that too.
And so we do.
Then we look and see if our computer runs faster, again a little bit, but it doesn't start-up any quicker, and we are perplexed.
Well, this is when it makes sense to go and clean up our registry, and shore up any errors.
Luckily there are several very good, some freeware online, registry cleanup tools to fix broken registry problems, registry errors, and conflicts.
This is something that any good software person will recommend or any good computer fixer, just ask them, don't take my word for it.
And there are many different preferences as to which registry error and fixer software works best.
But I'd like to throw out a warning here.
Never download software when visiting a website, which tells you that you've been infected with something and you need to clean up your registry.
You may very well need to clean it up, but chances are that website is using trickery to gain access to your computer, something you definitely don't want.
Another challenge with registry fixing software is that sometimes it makes mistakes - how so you ask? Well, most of us are running at least some extra software on our computers, software that is out of the mainstream, such as proprietary company software created by a non-Microsoft partner for instance.
You see, if you are a heavy user, then you can expect many conflicts in your registry, some of which may be causing programs to crash on your computer, wasting even more of your time.
We've all had that happen, and it usually happens as per Murphy's Law - at the worst possible time! Additionally, over time your computer software ends up with errors in the registry, most of the better registry software can repair these damaged DNA ends in your computer as your operating system interacts with all of your programs.
I hope I've enlightened you as to why you need to clean your registry periodically and why you should be thinking here.
