Could There Really Be A Way To Reverse Baldness?

101 161
So you want to reverse baldness but you have been lead to believe that wigs, hairpieces, or transplants surgery are will have to be included in your plans. If the last time you went bowling you were able to draw a comparison between your bowling ball and your shiny head perhaps this is indeed the case. But most of those looking to reverse baldness have experienced only minimal to moderate hair loss.

For most men (over 80 percent) hair loss begins at the forehead or on top of the head towards the back. It starts to form a pattern that looks like the letter M, with the receding hair line becoming a prominent and potentially permanent feature. Some men only have a bald spot on the crown combined with a receding hair line, while others lose all their hair on top.

Women are a completely different due to a number of factors including but not limited to hormone receptors and enzyme patterns in the scalp. About one in four women will experience balding that is described as a general thinning of the hair beginning on top. A receding hairline is not often a part of women’s hair loss.

Whether or not your hair loss falls into a neat little category is not as important as how to reverse its progression. Let’s look at a few simple steps in our mission to reverse balding.

Increase circulation to the scalp: There are literally hundreds of suggestions as to how to best accomplish this. The best way I have found is to set aside one minute a day to give your scalp a massage with a combination of wheat germ oil, almond oil, and aloe vera. You can substitute pumpkin seed oil or peppermint oil for the almond oil if you like. It simply depends on your personal fragrance preferences.

Saw palmetto and/or nettle root: Both of these herbs have proven to be effective in slowing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) known as the hair loss hormone. In the vast majority of cases DHT production must be slowed in order to successfully reverse balding.

Stress, Depression, Anxiety: These condition not only cause emotional distress but physiological disturbances in the body as well. While it may be difficult, if not impossible, to completely eliminate these conditions there are a number of ways to reduce their impact including yoga, breathing exercises, and even reducing the intake of simple carbohydrates and sugar in your diet.

Could an underlying disease be contributing to your balding?: Three common examples of this are alopecia areata, lupus, or diabetes. When their seems to be no obvious reason for your hair loss finding the root cause can open the door for real and lasting solutions.

In summary, our plan to reverse baldness revolves around four steps: a daily scalp massage, reducing the production of hair loss hormones, reducing stress and other psychological challenges, and identifying and treating any possible underlying causes. Certainly, there are other steps as well, but these four cornerstones will help you lay a solid foundation in your quest to reverse balding.
