If you have already overhauled the bathroom and kitchen areas you have added to the value of the home as well as the usefulness of those areas. What else can you do for the house to get a better return on your investment?

You may not realize it, but selecting the right doors for you home will make a difference when it time to sell the property. You want to make people feel welcomed once they walk into the house to inspect. Buyers look at houses and want to know how much work would be needed to get it the way they want. The exterior/front door is designed to attract them to the house, as the interior are to make them want to sit and stay. Doors make a big difference to the rooms. When there are those plain flush doors in the house, it gives a very bland look to the rooms. When you decide to put in panel style doors, it gives a more detailed look.

You don't have to spend a fortune to replace the doors in your home. Depending on the style, each pre-hung panel style door should run about $200 (trim molding included). It may sound like a lot of money, but think about how it will beautify the house and help make the sale. If you're remodeling for your use and have no plan to sell, well then you have increase the equity in the house as well as having solid core doors in the home (great if you have teenagers with stereos).

There are many great door and millwork companies out there that deal to the public. Go in and see what they can offer you. Most will do competitor pricing.
