How to Replace R260 Print Cartridges
- 1). Check the CD/DVD drawer on the printer and make sure it is empty. Lower the front paper tray to make access to the print cartridges easier.
- 2). Turn on the printer if it is not already on. Open the printer cover, then press and release the ink button. The print cartridge carrier will move to the correct position, and the green power light will begin to flash.
- 3). Press the ink button again if you are replacing more than one empty print cartridge. Remove the first new ink cartridge from its packaging. Do not remove the new ink cartridge from the package until you are ready to install it.
- 4). Take the yellow tape off the bottom of the new ink cartridge. This tape is used to protect the cartridge during shipment.
- 5). Lift the cartridge cover and carefully squeeze the tab on the used cartridge. Pull the used cartridge up and out of the printer.
- 6). Place the new ink cartridge in the holder. Push down gently on the cartridge until it snaps into place. Close the printer cover.
