With a huge 3.5 inch AMOLED screen and a fresh new operating system the Nokia N8 has automatically become Nokia's flagship piece. The brand spanking new, Symbian^3 OS allows the N8 to run super smooth and the 3G and Wi Fi connections enable the device to comfortably handle online functions. The device supports a high spec digital camera capable of shooting in HD while pre-installed satellite navigation gets users from A-B.

Nokia have made the phone in a number of obscure colours which include an Orange variant and Green. The anodized alloy casing is incredibly durable and is scratch resistant. The AMOLED display has 640 x 360 pixel resolutions and boasts capacitive technology which means users are treated to multi-touch functionality. A built-in accelerometer opens up landscape possibilities where you can view videos and check out web pages in widescreen, you can also access the phones on-screen QWERTY keyboard when messaging.

The app rich interface is very usable and a far cry from the chunkiness of previous Symbian efforts, the info packed home screen can be customized to feature live social network feeds or news streams. The N8 is very well equipped for messaging; there is support for the most popular e-mail account providers like Hotmail and Gmail. Instant messaging is also covered with the likes of GoogleTalk and WindowsLive being compatible. The N8 can is also Exchange compatible for the business conscious users.

The web browser sports some nifty in-browser multi-touch controls while there is support for flash and video streaming. The super fast connectivity, supplied by the 3G and Wi Fi technologies provides the phones SNS application with up to date feeds from the users social network accounts. Sites like Facebook and Twitter have found themselves with dedicated applications while integrated support for YouTube allows users to upload and view content at there leisure.

The Nokia N8 is fully loaded with a superb 12MP digital camera system which is supported by some very posh Carl Zeiss optics. You get built-in flash and auto focus, along with full zoom and face recognition. The end product is truly magnificent, pictures are full of clarity and videos are shot in gorgeous 720p HD. Nokia have even thrown in a secondary camera which for video calls.

With support for FM radio, the N8 allows users to listen to there favourite radio shows. The music player enables playback for multiple file types and the 3.5mm AV connection allows users to plug in there headphones to listen to there tunes. Video playback is also possible in a number of formats. Videos look beautiful on the nHD screen and can be played on the big screen via the HDMI cable.

This wonderful new phone is yet to be unveiled to the public, but there is already plenty of hype surrounding its release. The Nokia N8 is creeping up, and it's debuting the new Symbian^3 Operating System. Nokia have given N8 users full, uncensored access to the Ovi Store which is home to thousands of downloadable apps. With all the excitement and the impressive spec list, the Nokia N8 already has a lot of weight on its shoulders, and as Nokia's flagship smartphone they have quite a lot riding on its success.
