Third, gardening keeps your senses stimulated, such as when absorbing all the colors, textures, and scents in your garden. A healthy garden also attracts birds, which stimulate your hearing. Gardening is also a great medium to practice one's creativity, through simple yet fulfilling activities like flower and vegetables arrangements.

Fourth, merely sitting in a garden can be highly therapeutic. It also provides a chance for you to give yourself some "alone time" - time to pray, meditate, and simply clear out your mind. Take in the fresh air, get some sunshine, and commune with nature. Growing your own produce is not only more cost-effective, but you are assured of a fresh harvest with something healthy and delicious for every meal. Each fruit and vegetable of varying colors possesses different nutritional benefits, so go on and eat the rainbow!
