Getting In Touch With Your Spiritual Self
Now that the world has been influenced by wealth, power and such material needs, personal and spiritual growth has become a phenomenal task. All the gadgets, sophisticated tools and equipment and electronic devices which were created for convenience are now making it difficult for man to have a clear perception of spirituality. Our basic needs have been transformed into more complex and multifaceted worldly desires. High levels of exposure to print, electronic media and especially internet has messed the way we think about ourselves and our self respect.
All these contributions have made it difficult to balance out the divine and the earthly aspects of our life in this world.
All major religions of the world agree that the purpose of man is to serve their creator. Many theories and studies indicate every life on earth has a meaning or a purpose. Whether we consider our fate divine or our life independent, for spiritual and personal growth we need to find the reason for our existence. We are not born with a purpose but learn by the knowledge we gain in the world, the experiences we have, our relationships and the way we act and react to the past and present encounters. Looking back on these things also give us the ability to build self confidence.
While in the process of figuring our the purpose of our existence, we tent to discard some beliefs and take on some new ones. Satisfying our spiritual and emotional needs becomes easy after we have discovered our true purpose in life. Our life gets a meaning and we have a purpose to exist for.
All things are connected to each other, living as well as non-living. If we are to develop ourselves continuously and survive, its important that we learn to coexist with our partners in this ecosystem. Our existence depends on them and theirs on ours. The realization of this concept makes one modest and considerate to the fellow beings (Humans, Plants, animals and the rest of the nature). Each little creature in this universe has some part to play.
