Hi, I'm Kelly, and this is Anna. We're from WildYarns.com in Denver, Colorado. We're going to show you a few ways to use variegated yarn while you're knitting your hats. The first way is to use variegated yarn all the way through for a hat. This is a hat for a newborn. As you can see, the colors pool and make a sort of striped pattern. Sometimes, people don't like how this looks, so we have some other options for you. Another option is to use variegated yarn and stripe it with another yarn. This reduces the pooling effect that you saw in the previous hat. This is another example of striping variegated yarn with another yarn, but this has a brim that has stripes that are vertical instead of horizontal. Interlacing, or entrelac, is another way to use variegated yarn with a plain yarn. You can see that it produces a nice effect, and there's not necessarily pooling, but it looks like you used more than just two yarns. Variegated yarn is another name for multicolored yarn, and as you can see, this doesn't pool like our other examples, but it has multiple colors. And, there are some ideas for knitting with variegated yarn. I'm Kelly, and this is Anna. We're from WildYarns.com in Denver, Colorado. Thanks for watching, and happy knitting!
