2009 Memorial Gallery to Special Cats: Wussifer
Herewith is attached a photo of one of the most striking, handsome, tuxedo cats I have ever known. His name was Wussifer. We had him from a very tiny kitten. He slept with us every night of his life and was a most loving gentle creature. We miss him very much but would like to share him with other cat lovers so that he will live on.
Wussifer came into a household ruled by a female rabbit. Wuss was taken from his mother a bit too early.
The rabbit took him in and cared for him. We joked that he hopped before he ran. Wuss had an affinity for rabbits. When he lay sunning himself in the back yard wild rabbits would lay next to him with no fear.
He got his name because he always seemed to be skittish about anything new. He hated to move. We moved three times while we had him. It took him a few weeks to become accustomed to new surroundings. Our bed was his favorite place. If we did not turn in on time he let us know about it.
He died in his home after seeing us off to bed. He was 16 years old.
