Birth and death – two sides of same coin

The apostle Paul said, <in the midst of life we are in death.> while we live in the comfort and complacency of life, death unannounced comes and steals life away. Right from day one, on your birthday, death day is around the corner. The line between life and death is very thin indeed.

But if in the midst of life we are in death, is it also not possible that in the midst of death we are in life? Is death not another form of life in another world invisible to us? This earthly, physical body has other bodies unknown to us. Certain people have told me how they can get out of the body and operate in other worlds in their subtle bodies. Why do we talk about ghosts and spirits? Where do they live?

Nature, visible and invisible, operates in opposites; in cycles; on, on and on everything seems to go. Though we see many manifestations, everything proceeds from the same source. When darkness or night falls, day is sure to follow; wakefulness follows sleep; the waves roar and break on the shore only to return to the deep;

The trees that we see around are not the same trees that existed at the beginning of creation; cut them and new ones spring up. The season of spring has time and again followed dreary, bleak winter. And so when human beings are "dead and buried" in the soil, can they not assume new forms to be reborn?

Within the human being, invisible, is his or her "personality soul" which lingers in the subtle worlds at death, waiting for a suitable opportunity to be reborn not with the same face known before but in another disguise. This may be hard to accept but there is more to this physical body than we know.

The fact that this may not be accepted does not make it impossible to happen. We know very little about ourselves. There is a secret behind our existence in this world. The more you develop your spiritual faculties, the more you get to know.

Now, what is the source of the English word "die"? It is not known. In my search, I came upon another English word "ecdysis". It gave me a clue. The word "die" is closely related to the Greek word which makes up the word "ecdysis --- "dyein"

The word means "to slough" to cast off". Snakes are known to cast off their old skin to look fresh and new. The fabulous Arabian bird, the phoenix, is fabled to burn itself and from its ashes reappear as a new bird.  So is the eagle – the king of birds?

Since the word "die" is closely related to "dyein" to slough, there is every possibility that the human body is only "cast off" at death. The subtle body reappears fresh and new in another physical body.

How do you perceive the newborn baby just arrived? To the human eye, it is a baby, isn't it? It could be a 200 year old "personality soul" comes back in that guise! Certain mystics call this re-incarnation--- a return to flesh

Great men and women; great philosophers and world leaders spiritual teachers; inventors and discoverers; and many more- all come back with new knowledge and teachings to move the world forward. The one who invented the computer; the mobile phone, the great automobiles and aircrafts have been several times here in this world. They come back to continue.

Believers are expecting their great world leaders to return. Where are they dwelling right now? In the spirit world and they come back born as ordinary babies!

We live in a mysterious world. Whenever you see death on display no matter the pain that it brings, take this comfort, that it could be a new form of life! It does not matter which side of the coin is in your hand, it is still the same coin. So it is with birth and death – both exist within you!
