How to Set Up an Internet Connection on Apple iPad
- 1). Tap the "Settings" icon on your iPad. Unless you moved this icon, it should appear on your home screen.
- 2). Scroll through the list and tap "Wi-Fi." The Wi-Fi Networks screen will appear.
- 3). Press "Ask to Join Networks" to specify whether you want your iPad to ask you before joining an available Wi-Fi network. If you select "ON, " this will ensure that a message pops up notifying you of what network you are connecting to before your iPad connects to the network. This will keep you from joining networks that you may not be familiar with and that may be unsafe. If you select "OFF," you will not be notified before your iPad automatically joins an available network.
- 4). Click on the name of the network that you want to join. If the network requires a password, a screen will pop up asking you for the network password. Type in your password and click "Join." If you do not have the network password, you cannot join the network.
