A Perfect Label For a Democratic Or Republican Candidate

Candidates nominated by either of the political parties are actually twin sons of different mothers.
Both Republican and Democratic parties are controlled, and run, by either the right or the left despite the fact that a majority of voters reside in the middle.
The common label attached to the Democratic Party is liberal or progressive.
The Republicans' label is conservative.
When entering the arena for the final battle of party champions billions are spent to convince a majority of spectators to give a thumbs up to one or the other.
Polling and market research results aid development of the sales campaign; then polls and the media are used to convey the message and manipulate voter behavior.
While each party is branded in the public mind the chosen candidates usually have a category position also.
For example, Lay's potato chips come in several different shapes and flavors.
In the presidential election won by President Bush he used the label of passionate conservative.
The purpose was to take away the harsh edge and polish his image to show that he would govern and listen to the moderate middle.
After winning however, President Bush's major problem was the fact that he was neither conservative nor passionate.
President Obama constructed his campaign promising he would bring change.
Voters were so angry with the performance of their last champion (Bush) they forgot to request a definition and details concerning the change he mentioned.
As each day goes by discomfort with all branches and their leadership in the federal government grows.
Now confused and hurt and seeing an uncertain economic future for their children and grandchildren, the moderate middle is in the early stages of looking for a new model.
If they were shopping for a new automobile and asked to describe what they now want it would be the following: A model that can carry them on their life's journey to their designated goals without frequent breakdowns.
One of the government's functions is to be a safety value in emergencies.
For a car it would be your airbag.
Over and over either with weather events, financial crashes or oil spills it has been shown the government merely advertised safety equipment; it didn't exist.
Placing an airbag in a car after a crash is the kind of procedure Washington now uses.
Voters who matter, the middle majority, are motivated to scrap many operations and retool the product.
Their motivations are not for extreme change.
A majority of them do not want to buy into a new program.
Fix what you have, and then we will be open to discuss an improved model.
Adding an entitlement such as health care was not, and is not, on their list of priorities.
Prove you can ride a tricycle then we will discuss letting you ride a bicycle.
Encumbered with only two real choices this is a suggestion as to the perfect label the majority is looking for in their candidate.
It is different for each party.
Candidates from either party that can be best described with these labels will win.
The perfect label for a winning Republican candidate is an accountable conservative.
The actions and agenda must match the label.
America is not buying any more of the Bush brand.
Voters don't want someone to agree with them in every area.
They are looking for someone who is accountable not only for themselves but to the citizens.
The perfect label for the winning Democratic candidate is an affordable liberal or progressive.
If an independent audit were performed on the federal government and a true evaluation of entitlement costs in the future, it would show our grandchildren cannot afford any more unbridled spending.
Their credit card is almost at a point of being cancelled.
If this action happens it will render pain beyond anything imaginable.
The 1930s will seem like a tea party.
Jonestown Kool-Aid will be served to our addicted government system.
It will die and the rehab process will be long and rugged for generations.
The odds of discovering a candidate in either party that would be authentic displaying the perfect label is about 10,000,000 to 1.
The Republicans blabber about acting in the future as accountable.
Investigating the details reveals no real commitment for accountability either in federal government or their party.
I can only think of one incumbent senator who may be an accountable conservative.
He probably enjoys more negative feelings from his own party than the loyal opposition.
Affordable liberal sounds like an oxymoron.
Blue dogs are advertised as genetically modified to act fiscally responsible.
2009 and 2010 have exposed all their false teeth.
There's not a fang in the house, and your grandkids are being gummed to death financially.
Chances of finding someone to display the perfect label are hundreds of millions to one.
However, we Americans in the majority care about the next generation's opportunities.
Because of that we will continue the search.
Plan for the worst - pray for better!
