Scott"s "Normal" Rub Recipe

Scott calls this his "normal" rub. This barbecue rub recipe produces a large quantity, so you can reduce it if you need to.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL un-iodized salt
  • 1 tablespoon/15 mL garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon/15 mL onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon/5 mL ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon/5 mL sage - rubbed
  • 1 teaspoon/5 mL paprika - powder
  • 1 teaspoon/5 mL black pepper - ground

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes


  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: Makes about 1/4 cup


Preparation
Mix well and store in an air tight container with a shaker top. Add rosemary, tarragon, basil or other herbs when required.
