Scott calls this his "normal" rub. This barbecue rub recipe produces a large quantity, so you can reduce it if you need to.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons/30 mL un-iodized salt
- 1 tablespoon/15 mL garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon/15 mL onion powder
- 1 teaspoon/5 mL ground thyme
- 1 teaspoon/5 mL sage - rubbed
- 1 teaspoon/5 mL paprika - powder
- 1 teaspoon/5 mL black pepper - ground
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: Makes about 1/4 cup
Preparation
Mix well and store in an air tight container with a shaker top. Add rosemary, tarragon, basil or other herbs when required.
