The Importance of Fresh Content
So you've finally decided to become a blogger.
You did your keyword research.
You picked out a really great domain name.
You got your blogging theme, and web hosting all set up.
You even signed up with Google AdSense, and joined a couple of affiliate programs so you can hopefully make some money with your blog.
Now what? Now you need content.
Not only do you need content, you need good content.
Content, in other words, the articles you post to your blog are the single most important component of your blog.
If you don't have good informative and readable content then the visitors you attract to your blog aren't going to stay around very long.
And the longer you can keep visitors at your site, the more likely they are to click on one of your affiliate links, or AdSense ads.
Not only will they stay around longer, but if they enjoy reading your content then they will come back for more.
The next question is, how do you go about getting good content? Auto blogging is very popular these days.
That's where you use a plugin to go out and grab articles from article directories, ess feeds, and other blogs, then post those articles to your blog.
What people love about auto blogging is its set and forget.
You set it up to pull in and post a certain number of articles per day, or per week, or whatever.
Then move on and create another blog.
And on, and on, and on.
Auto blogging is great if you don't care about providing your visitors, or especially the search engines with fresh content.
Believe me both can tell if your content is fresh or rehashed.
You need to provide your readers with fresh content.
Content that's new.
Not rehashed content that's been posted on a hundred other blogs.
If you're good at writing then start pounding out an article now and then.
You don't need to post to your blog every day, but you should try to be constant.
Once or twice a week is fine.
The key is consistency, and keeping your content fresh.
If you do want to write your own content then by all means please use spell check.
I know that statement deserves a big "duh", but you wouldn't believe how many people forget to use it.
If your not a very good writer, or don't want to write your own content then head on over to Google and search for article or content writing services.
There are many out there to choose from, and you can have articles written for as low as four or five dollars for a 500 word article.
If you decide to go this route then be sure to get a sample of their writing and make sure that once you pay for the article you own it, and can do anything you want with it.
Remember good content if vital to the life of your blog.
It's essential to post informative, readable, and fresh content to your blog.
Your readers thank, and respect you for it.
The search engines will love you for it.
