Places for Birthday Parties for Girls
- A young party group can enjoy a birthday party at a gymnastics or dance studio, with structured activities and an area to enjoy lunch and birthday cake afterward. Many venues offer parties that include one or two instructors for one to two hours of activity in foam pit and on tumble tracks, obstacle courses and dance floors. Some gymnastic party venues also include free playtime on inflatable bounce structures and trampolines. Afterward, the party group assembles in a private party area and parents are generally welcome to bring their own party foods and cake.
- Host a birthday party at a nearby hotel for a group of preteens or teenage girls. Arrange for the party to begin after dinner and start the evening off with a swim in the hotel's indoor pool or a soak in the hotel's spa tubs. Escort the party group to their room for the evening where they can enjoy room service, late night movies and plenty of gossip. Parents can arrange for a connecting room to allow the girls some privacy while still being able to stay nearby throughout the party. Bring along a makeup bag full of cosmetics and let the group spend a little bit of the evening time giving each other makeovers. End the party with in-room breakfast or dining at the hotel's restaurant.
- Arrange for an inexpensive birthday party at the mall. For an activity, plan a mall scavenger hunt where the group is divided into teams of two or three girls to seek out free items on a list. Include items, such as ketchup packets, napkins, paper clips, credit card applications, brochures and shopping bags. The first team to find each of the items wins the game. For a party on a more frivolous budget, give each group a predetermined amount of money, such as $20 or $30 for a larger party group or $50 to $60 for a group with just two teams. The object of the scavenger hunt is to purchase as many non-perishable items as possible with the money and no two items may be purchased from the same store. The team that was able to purchase the largest quantity of items wins the game. Let all of the girls divide the items between themselves.
- Host a birthday party for a group of little princesses, preteens or teenagers at a local spa. Many offer beauty service packages from which to choose, or parents can build their own packages from individual services. For a party on a budget, host a lunch party at home and then travel to the spa for each of the party guests to have a manicure or pedicure. For a party on an elaborate budget, consider a spa package that includes cleansing facials, manicures, pedicures, massage and even a makeover. Some spas also include treats for the guests to enjoy, such as cupcakes and hot chocolate.
