Teaching Jobs

• There are many green jobs related to teaching. Some of the best such jobs are provided through the government and NGOs. The United States Environmental Education Training Program prepares college students for teaching jobs with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) teaching center. Jobs with the EPA teaching center include drafting curriculum resources for teachers, writing reports and doing guest lectures in classes. Other green teaching jobs include lecturing on environmental topics at colleges and guest lecturing on environmental topics at schools.
  
  

Research Jobs

• There are many research-related green jobs in education. Almost all of these jobs are provided through NGOs and the government. Research on environmental issues may be published in education journals, textbooks or magazines. Alternatively, research on environmental issues may be published in environmental advocacy journals, or be used by teachers to develop curriculum for biology or earth science classes.

• Educational writing on environmental topics is an emerging field that is set to grow in the coming years. Environmental writing touches on topics like pollution, global climate change and environmental conservation. Educational environment writing is published in magazines, brochures and pamphlets that are distributed to schools for use in environmental education. Public Speaking Jobs

• One of the most common types of green jobs in education is public speaking. Public speakers may make presentations at national parks, give lectures to students at assemblies or run training seminars for teachers. Many public speakers are self employed, and earn their money by providing valuable training to other professionals. Other public speakers work with governments and NGOs, and provide presentations to young students about environmental problems and solutions.
