- 1). Get an auto responder. An auto responder gives you the opportunity to send predetermined messages to your list of customers. Whenever possible send your customers valuable, useful content. If a customer is receiving quality information from you on a regular basis, they will begin to like and trust you. It will be much easier to sell them a product or service. An auto responder also gives you the capability to send email blasts to your customers. Your messages will go out based on when you set the schedule. This gives you the opportunity to notify everyone at once about a new product, service or an event.
- 2). Delete customers who no longer want to hear from you. You can go into the auto responder and delete those customers who have opted out of your mailing list. When they got your last email, they clicked on the link that said "Unsubscribe" which takes them off your list automatically. Now you can make it official by deleting them from your list. This helps keep your list up to date.
- 3). Set up a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a mini-website that allows you to capture a customer's first name and email address. Once they enter this information they are automatically added to your online mailing list. They, too, will begin to receive the predetermined email messages from your auto responder. The squeeze page always has some type of compelling information. Many times it will offer a free product or service, such as an e-book, or CD or some tips and strategies for success.
- 4). Write articles on free websites. There are many websites that allow you to write articles about a variety of things. Your articles can center on things that deal with your product or service and direct readers to your squeeze page. Write a number of articles to a number of different free websites.
- 5). Build a permission-based list. This process allows you to build a list of customers whom you can market to over and over again. You avoid spamming anyone because they opted into your list. You now have their permission to market to them and send additional emails.
- 6). Create another list. An auto responder will allow you to create as many mailing lists as you want. In order for you to have different lists you will need different squeeze pages for prospective customers to opt in. Different lists assume you are probably marketing products to a particular niche.
