    • 1). Press the "Fax" button on the printer and then press the "Menu" button. Use the arrow buttons to select the "Maintenance/settings" option and then press the "OK" button.

    • 2). Use the arrow buttons to select the "Device settings" option and then press the "OK" button. Use the arrow buttons to select the "FAX settings" option and press the "OK" button.

    • 3). Press the arrow buttons to select the "Users settings" option and then press the "OK" button. Select the "Telephone line type" option and then press the "OK" button.

    • 4). Select your telephone line type, either rotary pulse or touch tone, using the arrow buttons and then press the "OK" button.

    • 5). Place the document you want to fax onto the scanner glass and close the lid. Press the "Fax" button and adjust any fax setting on the display screen to meet your preferences.

    • 6). Press the "Coded Dial" button and select the number you want to fax to using the arrow buttons on the printer. Press the "OK" button.

    • 7). Press the "Color" or "Black" button and the document will scan. A message will be displayed telling you to load another document or to press the "OK" button to send the fax. The fax will then be sent.
