Where to Buy a Used Postal Van
- You can locate vehicles for sale in your area by contacting your closest USPS Vehicle Maintenance Facility. A list of facilities with their addresses can be found on the All Government Police Auctions Web page: allgovauctions.com. Maintenance facilities are listed alphabetically by state and city with the contact phone numbers.
- USPS vehicles for sale can also be found and purchased on eBay. From the eBay home page, click on "Advanced Search" at the top of the page. On the left-hand side of the next page, under "Find items," click on "By seller."
Enter the following seller user ID: usps-al-pmsc and hit the search button. Vans, cars and trucks will be pictured with their auction prices. A vehicle description and information is available on eBay, including an option to receive a full history or order an inspection.
If you find a van you want, you can bid online for it, but you must establish an eBay account. - If your bid is accepted, you can then arrange for pickup. Shipping quotes are available if you cannot go in person. Full payment of the purchase price is required by cashier's check within seven days. Financing is also available on eBay.
