  Seekonk hugs the Rhode Island state border in southeastern Massachusetts. Although it's an old town, settled in the 1600s and incorporated in 1812, it's developed into a residential suburb of nearby Providence, according to the state of Massachusetts website. Seekonk has business parks, shopping areas and neighborhoods with a variety of restaurants and hotels with banquet rooms.   This Italian restaurant features two private banquet rooms that accommodate 80 guests in the downstairs room and 40 guests in the upstairs room. The rooms can host events that range from a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, to a four-course, sit-down rehearsal dinner, shower or birthday celebration. The inspiration for the cuisine comes from the neighborhood Italian restaurants of the 1940s in Boston, New York's "Little Italy" and South Philadelphia. The catering menu features salads, cold selections, 12 different pastas and house specialties that include eggplant, chicken, veal and seafood dishes. Cannoli are offered for dessert. Family style dinners or individual entrees are featured in the main dining room at lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

  A private banquet room that seats up to 50 people is available at The Old Country Buffet. Banquet guests go through the buffet line as do other diners, but eat behind closed doors in the private room. The menu features more than 100 items daily, including comfort foods of macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, and fried fish. Meat entrees include beef, chicken, fish and ham. Sides include mashed potatoes, rice, fresh vegetables, soup and salad bar and dessert bar. The restaurant is open five days a week for lunch and dinner and serves breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

  This 11,000 square-foot contemporary restaurant opened its doors in 2007. The eatery offers three private rooms that serve as a backdrop for sit-down rehearsal dinners, retirement parties, birthday celebrations and more. The largest banquet room seats up to 150 people. It has a flagstone fireplace as a focal point. Food choices include a raw bar featuring oysters, shrimp and a shellfish platter. Entrée salads, specialty burgers, brick oven baked pizza and pasta are on the menu as are short ribs, lamb, seafood and steaks.
