How to Make the Blueberry Muffin Costume From Strawberry Shortcake
- 1). Draw and fill in small circles all over the blue Newsboy cap with the light blue fabric paint. The circles should be about the size of a quarter. Fabric paints have a narrow tip, which is perfect for creating details, such as circles. Allow the cap to completely dry.
- 2). Plug in the glue gun and insert one glue stick. It should take about 5 minutes to heat. Place a small drop of glue at the top of the Newsboy cap and attach the large pompom. Press down firmly. Drying time is about 30 minutes.
- 3). Add quarter-sized circles to the collar of the white shirt with the light blue fabric paint. Paint the same size circles onto the sleeve cuff or to the 2 inches of the sleeve closest to the wrist hole. Allow to dry for a minimum of two hours.
- 4). Paint four small, light blue circles down the outside seam of each pants leg, closest to the foot. These circles are to resemble Blueberry's pant's buttons. Allow to dry for two hours.
- 5). Tie the purple strip of fabric or ribbon around the top of your rib cage. Tie a bow in the center and leave 2 inches of fabric extending on each side of the bow. Cut off the excess and untie the bow for later use.
- 6). Dress in your blue jeans and white decorated shirt. Add the light blue shirt on top of the white shirt. Make sure the cuff and colors are visible. Retie the purple fabric or ribbon around the top of your rib cage, in the same method as described in Step 4.
- 7). Tie the excess purple fabric strands around each sleeve at the point where the sleeves of the blue and white shirts meet. This purple cuff strand allows the shirts to appear as one. Tie with a small bow or attach the ends to each other with a drop of glue from the glue gun. Cut off any excess fabric.
- 8). Add the hat and shoes to the costume. The purple shoes are optional, as they can be hard to find. The Blueberry Muffin costume is complete!
