Instructions for Uniden Phones
- Your Uniden cordless phone is powered by a BT-1004 or BT 909 rechargeable battery pack that is included with your phone. To install the rechargeable battery pack in your phone, remove the battery case cover, attach the battery connector to the battery compartment jack and then replace the battery case cover. The batteries in your handset are recharged each time the handset is placed in the charger. On one battery charge, the average talk time is estimated at five hours while the average standby time is seven days.
- Proper care and maintenance will help your Uniden phone function at its best. Care and maintenance for your Uniden phone includes keeping the charger base and handset clean and dry. Should either piece of your phone come into contact with excess moisture, dry the unit thoroughly using a soft cloth. The charging contacts on the bottom of the handset should be cleaned once a month with a soft cloth dampened with water. Thoroughly dry the contacts before returning the handset to the charger.
- The buttons on your Uniden handset are used to perform a variety of functions. The "Menu/Clear" key is used to access the phone's various menus, as well as delete information saved to your phone. The "Redial/Pause" button is used to redial numbers and pause voicemail messages. The "Select" button is used to select options when entering information. The number and alphabet keypad is used to dial phone numbers or enter text information. The up and down arrow keys on the four-way function key are used to scroll up and down through information, while the left arrow key allows you to view the contacts list and the right arrow key accesses the caller ID list. The "Call" and "Hang Up" buttons are used to start and end phone calls. The "Hold" button puts callers on hold and the "Speakerphone" button activates the speakerphone feature.
