PPI Reclaiming Now Available for All

Consumers the world over have been paying for a form of insurance called PPI. The letters "PPI" stand for "Payment Protection Insurance" and it is quite possible you do need the coverage at all. As a matter of fact, in many cases, consumers may not even know that they are purchasing this insurance. New legislation makes PPI reclaiming now available for all persons.

PPI coverage is an insurance that can be used in case you cannot make a payment. Contingencies for this situation can include the loss of a job, layoffs or other unexpected personal situations that arise. However, you may find that the insurance is difficult to use and seldom pays out on a claim.

With PPI reclaiming now available for all consumers, it is possible to get the monies returned for PPI payments from as many as six years past. If you think you may be able to reclaim PPI monies, ask yourself these questions:

• 1. Was I told that I was buying PPI?
• 2. Was I told how much it would cost?
• 3. Was I told the rates?
• 4. Was I given a choice or was the PPI mandatory?
• 5. Do I really need PPI?

If you have answered "no" to any of these, you may be able to file a claim.

It is possible to claim the PPI back on your own, but using a legal firm that focuses on this task is a better bet. There are firms called consumer rights firms that can help you with this. With PPI reclaiming now available for all consumers, you may get those payments back as well as the associated interest.

Consumer rights firms or agencies are fully licensed and registered to handle your PPI claim. Most of these firms are glad to take your case with no costs or charges up front. In the same manner as a lawsuit, the firm foregoes any payment unless they win your case. So if for some reason, you do not win your PPI reclamation case, you don't pay the firm.

Also, if you have already started your PPI case, you can still get a consumer rights firm involved. They are happy to take your case already in progress. You are even able to file a claim on closed accounts or loans. Getting a firm involved in your case will speed up the process and increase your chances of winning.

The new legislation that makes PPI reclaiming now available for all borrowers is sweeping and covers many of the monies you have spent on the PPI. It does not, however, cover bank charges like clerk's fees or filing fees for the PPI and loan paperwork. These charges can still be reclaimed through another process, though, in cases of financial hardship.

It should be understood that filing a claim of this nature, there is a slight risk of having your bank account closed. This is not common practice, but is a possibility.

So read your statement and see if you have been paying for PPI that you either do not need or do not want. Due to PPI reclaiming now available for all consumers, you could get a substantial portion of those payments back.
