    • 1). Upload the photo you want to use to your computer from your camera or scan in a print of the photo so you have a digital copy.

    • 2). Open the photo on your computer and change its size so it measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches wide. If the photo would better fit in a wide orientation, make it 2 1/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide.

    • 3). Print a copy of the photo on glossy photo paper for each card. Reduce waste by printing more than one photo per page. Cut the photos apart along the edge of the image, leaving no white border.

    • 4). Cut a piece of card stock in half. Fold each of these halves in half. Each piece of card stock will make two folded cards that measure 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.

    • 5). Apply rubber cement to the back of a photo. Press it onto the card, leaving a 1/2-inch border on each side and the bottom and 1 1/2 inches above the photo. If your photo is wider than it is tall, turn the card so the fold is at the top of the card and glue the photo on that way.

    • 6). Write a heading on the card above the photo with a marker. It could say anything from "Merry Christmas" to "It's a Birthday Party," depending on the occasion.

    • 7). Write a note or information inside the card. For a party invitation, write the time, date and location of the party inside the card. For a greeting card, write a personalized note to the recipient.
