Holdem Poker Strategy
Holdem poker has been around for over 60 years.
There has been tons of legends that played the game and really turned it into what it is today.
Doyle Brunson aka Brunson Doyle stamped the name on Texas holdem today.
It would never be the same today, or it may never really exist at all without him.
Now with that being said, Doyle has changed the ways of poker and without developed online poker.
Online poker, especially online poker sit n go's is probably the greatest game ever invented and the most profitable game.
All you need to have patience and know when to turn that patience into aggressive play, and you will be on your way to rolling in the dough.
Sit n go's have turned into one of the most profitable and popular poker games out of any single game out there.
A single table sit n go almost always consists of 9 players.
There are a few sit n go's out there that seat 10 players and 6 players on various online poker sites, but you should avoid them.
The profitability is low and also your poker odds of winning are not even worth what you COULD win.
Sit n go's require you to develop a poker strategy that will win you sit and go after sit n go.
Once you have a strategy down pact, the profits will constantly be rolling in.
Holdem poker is a game of skill, patience, and self-discipline, and if you posses all 3 of these characteristics expect to win.
Now when you sit down in a poker sit n go, here is the strategy in a nutshell that I follow.
For the first 20 hands or so I usually end up folding due to not catching any cards and the poker blinds being very low.
There is no point in forcing something out of nothing when the cards just aren't there.
The best thing you can do in the early stages of a sit n go is just to have patience and wait for your hand to come.
You don't need to get frustrated because other people are catching hands and you are not and their chip stack is slightly higher.
IT DOES NOT MATTER AT THE EARLY STAGES!What it boils down to is at the late stages when there is 5 players or fewer left.
If you have patience and wait for your hand good things will come and when it gets down to 4-5 players it is your time to shine.
At this point you will need to be playing more aggressive then your competition at the poker tables.
The more aggressive you are the better chance you have in building your chip stack enough to take down first place.
A great poker fact to remember is, 1 first place finish is equal to 3 third place finishes.
There is no point in wasting your time to finish 3rd place when you could have played more aggressive and took down first place.
I hope these holdem tips have helped you and good luck at the poker tables!
