Bodybuilding has gained a lot of popularity because it is a very effective method of staying fit.
There are however many people who prefer to stay fit through aerobic exercises since they are not as difficult as bodybuilding.
However for those people seeking to get a massive body then there only option is to take up bodybuilding.
I am not out to discourage anyone who is interested in pursuing this wonderful sport but rather to prepare them psychologically to better handle the related side effects.
There are certain side effects which will be as a result of using steroids in order to succeed in bodybuilding they include; shrinking of the testicles, enlargement of the clitoris, growth of facial hair and development of coarse voice in women, development of breasts in men, shrinking of breasts in women, low libido in men, impotence in men, distortion of the menstrual cycle, kidney and liver problems, strokes and coronary problems.
The only way to avoid these side effects is to quit steroid all together.
There are other side effects which are not as a result of steroids such as lower back pain.
Many bodybuilders who have been able to gain 10 to 15lbs usually experience lower back pains.
The pain usually occurs because the lower back is very weak and not able to handle the extra increase in pounds.
To handle lower back pains you need to train the lower back muscles and at the same time do stretching exercises.
You should train using Advil in order to reduce the pain.
This is one of the most annoying aspects of increasing your body mass as a result of bodybuilding.
Some bodybuilders will also experience severe heel pain, although this is not as common as back pains.
Although heel pains are less severe compared to back pains they can be equally as annoying.
The other side effect of bodybuilding is that it can lead to insomnia.
This is one of the greatest challenges facing bodybuilders.
The higher the intensity of the training the more difficult it will become to catch a good sleep.
Imagine trying to sleep with a bulging arm under the pillow, you see how inconvenient it can get.
As a bodybuilder you are also supposed to eat very heavy meals in order to increase your calorie intake.
There is nothing as uncomfortable as trying to sleep with your stomach bulging out due to overeating.
Many bodybuilders result to taking prescription drugs for sleep which poses another problem since they lead to addictions.
The other side effect of bodybuilding is the occurrence of body soreness.
If you undertake intense training soreness becomes quite common.
This could make your life very uncomfortable.
You need not worry yourself because with time the body usually gets accustomed to the soreness.
You should not let this side effects prevent you from pursuing the sport of bodybuilding.
Everything in life has its own challenges especially if they come with benefits, and we all know how bodybuilding can help you enhance your appearance and boost your health.
