    • 1). Place a sheet of the Velcro hooking pad horizontally on a work surface. Measure 4 inches in from the bottom-left side of the pad. Make a dot at the 4-inch mark.

    • 2). Place one of the two sides of the dog collar horizontally on the pad. Place the end of the side against the dot. Line up the bottom of the side with the bottom of the pad. Draw a line across the top of the side and down the end, on the pad. Remove the collar from the pad.

    • 3). Place a sheet of the Velcro latching pad horizontally on the work surface. Repeat the previous procedure with the dog collar, only this time on the latching pad.

    • 4). Cut out the latching pad and the hooking pad outlines.

    • 5). Remove the paper backing from the adhesive on the latching pad you cut out. Line up the latching pad with the inside of one side of the dog collar. Place the latching pad against the collar, adhesive-side down. Smooth the latching pad against the collar with your fingers. Repeat this with the outside of the collar and the hook pad you cut out. Let the adhesive set overnight.

    • 6). Place the dog collar around your dog's neck. Press the side of the collar that has the latching pad on it against the side of the collar that has the hooking pad. Smooth the two together using your fingers. Attach a leash to the collar and go for a walk.
