It seems like, with each passing day there is yet another "best exercise regimen on the planet" that claims it will help you lose weight, with hardly any effort, and barely any time involved.
These people pitching these products, with their hard, toned bodies, make it look to us regular folks as though attaining those weight loss goals are as simple as choosing the right "best exercise regimen".
But the truth of the matter is, most of these regimens don't actually work.
Many exercise regimens seek to focus on, or single out certain muscle groupings in order to provide you with "ripped abs" or a "tight buttocks", but the truth of the matter is that targeted exercises alone just do not work.
Doing thousands of sit ups a day will do nothing to tone provide that six pack if you haven't burned off the layer of fat surrounding it.
What the body needs to effectively lose weight is regular, whole body exercise that focuses on cardio and muscle building.
These are the best ways to burn fat fast, replacing that fat with lean muscle mass that leaves us looking toned and firm.
Cycling is not only fun, it is one of the best whole body exercises there are.
What is great about cycling is that it allows you to maximize the amount of calories you burn, with little impact, unlike running.
Riding a bicycle works a lot of different muscle groupings and being sure to go over different terrains will help to vary up the intensity of the workout and help maximize calorie burn.
Swimming is another great, whole body workout that is a great way to lose weight and develop lean muscles.
This is a low impact activity that is, again, fun, but also very effective in helping you burn a lot of calories and lose that weight fast.
Swimming laps is peaceful and fun, and even an activity that the whole family can enjoy, but is also a great exercise to drop that weight, that actually works.
Resistance training is a great lean muscle building activity that is vital in helping accelerate weight loss.
While this type of training in and of itself does not provide for a lot of calorie burn, it will intensify the effectiveness of any other activity you partake in, and building lean muscle mass burns fat incredibly well.
Cross training exercises are also highly effective at helping you lose weight, and fast, as they combine a number of different types of exercises that provide for the cardio, lean muscle building and resistance training activities that are required to truly lose weight.
There are tons of "best exercises" out there, but the simple truth is that basic workouts are really the best way to lose weight fast.
When you want exercises that really work, you need to look towards activities that work your entire body.
While your body is comprised of different organisms, it is a single entity and should be thought of as such when it comes to exercise.
Whole body activities will provide the best and the fastest results.
