One Week Later

On Penny's boat, Hurley asks Sayid, "What's this place called?"
"Membata," Sayid says.

"Why are we doing this, dude? Sailing 3000 miles to another island?"

"Because it's the only way to keep them safe."

They put a raft in the water. Jack says, "How long until we hit land?"

"Oh, if the winds are not too brutal, eight, nine hours," Frank says. "Just long enough to give you a nice convincing sunburn."

"Well, it's been a pleasure, Frank." Jack shakes his hand. "I hope we never see each other again."

"Roger that, doc."

Penny says goodbye to Aaron and hands him to Kate.

Desmond says to Jack, "Are you sure about this, brother?"

Jack nods. "Are you sure?"

"As long as I've got Penny, I'll be fine."

"Don't let him find you, Desmond. Then I'll see you in another life, brother."

"Aye. I guess you will."

The Oceanic Six get into the life boat and Jack and Sayid row with boards.

They reach an island with a village and get off the boat. Kate looks back to the ocean and Jack comes over to her.

You All Have to Go Back

Late at night, Jack goes back to the funeral home and breaks in. He looks at the casket and then looks away. On top is a release form that says Jeremy Bentham. He opens the casket and looks inside.
Jack is startled when Ben walks up and says, "Hello, Jack. Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Did he tell you that I was off the island?"

Jack nods. "Yes he did."

Ben walks toward Jack. "When did you speak to him?"

"About a month ago."

"And Kate?"

"Yeah, he came to see her too."

"And what did he say to you?"

"He told me that after I left the island, some very bad things happened. And he told me that it was my fault for leaving. And he said that I had to come back."

"Yes, I've heard that you've been flying on passenger planes hoping that you'd crash. That's dark, Jack, very dark."

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to tell you that the island won't let you come alone. All of you have to go back."

"Sayid, I don't even know where Sayid is. Hurley is insane. Sun blames me for- And then Kate, she won't even talk to me anymore."

"Perhaps I can help you with that. This is the way it has to be, Jack. It's the only way. You have to do it together, all of you."

"How?"

"I have a few ideas."

Jack nods.

"Jack, I said all of you. We're going to have to bring him too."

Inside the casket is Locke.
