How to Monitor Landline Phones
- 1). Purchase a USB phone recorder. This is a small device that attaches to your phone and PC and will record conversations in a digital format to your computer.
- 2). Turn on your PC and insert the CD, that came with your USB device, into the drive. Click on "Next" and wait for the program to install. When it is finished, restart your computer.
- 3). Unplug the phone line that comes from the wall and connects to the phone. Connect that phone line into the recording device.
- 4). Connect the USB cable from the device to the USB port on the computer. Wait for the device to be recognized by the computer's operating system.
- 5). Open up the software that you installed earlier by clicking on its desktop icon.
- 6). Make a phone call. The device will automatically begin recording the conversation, and once it is finished, it will be saved as an MP3 file.
