How to Install a Maytag Spark Module
- 1). Turn off the gas supply to the range at the shut off valve before attempting to install the new spark module. The valve will be facing at a 90 degree angle to the gas line when the gas is off.
- 2). Turn off the circuit breaker to the range at the breaker box and open the broiler drawer at the bottom of the range in the front. Disconnect the electrical wires that are attached to the spark module by loosening the screws with a screwdriver and taking the wires off the screws.
- 3). Unfasten the screws that secure the spark module to the range with a screwdriver, and remove the module from the appliance. Install the new spark module to the range with screws, and attach the electrical wires to the module, tightening the screws to secure the wires.
- 4). Close the broiler drawer, and turn the circuit breaker back on at the breaker box. Open the gas line at the shut of valve, and relight the pilot light on the range.
